Droid DNA The Real Battery Test Part 2 (Semi Review)

I have had the HTC Droid DNA for over a month now. I have touted how the battery consumption before my purchase would be in my first article see below.

DROID DNA REAL BATTERY TEST PART 1

Now this article will only focus on the battery aspects of the device. I have had numerous weeks to truly adjust to the device and felt it was comfortable to do a follow up on it. Many of you may still be on the fence about purchasing it or maybe just got one as a present for Christmas. Regardless here is a rundown on the battery.

2020 mAH is the size in this sleek HTC device. That size did not change and will be the only option for any Verizon Buyer. Now many see this size and are very skeptical about it. My Galaxy Nexus before I purchased the Droid DNA had an extended battery at the size of 2100mAh. A notch higher than the Droid DNA but unfortunately my Nexus only truly lasted me on a good day of texting, calling, browsing, and downloading for about 9 hours. This for many is a major turnoff. Some power users are away from all charger ports for about 9 hours a day so they need a device to last beyond that. I can say for sure if you buy the Droid DNA you can be OK with its battery life.

11-17 hours of battery life is what I am able to push daily on my Droid DNA with screen on time averaging between 2 hours and 30 minutes to about 3 hours. Careful consumption with sync off and brightness adjusted with WiFi also can give me well beyond 17 hours. One day i reached 22 hours. But realistically I say 11-15 because people's use may vary. I don't have many apps installed because i have a Nexus 7 so that can help battery as well. I start my day at about 630 am and after using it a plenty it needs a charge at about 8 pm Very good life. Most people want it to at least last home to work back to home again and this device delivers that. Don't be afraid to make the jump. People will compare it constantly to the rather big battery life in the Note 2 which is a given. Bigger battery will give you some longer battery life at times. My friend had a Note 2 that lasted him almost a day and a half. I will say this again though that your millage will very!!! So don't be afraid again also use the return window with your carrier and definitely fully test out the device I love my Droid DNA and I hope this steers many off the fence from missing out on a great device. The Quad Core Processor benefits the 2020 mAh size battery to help it conserve much better than most devices out today.

I hope you enjoy your new DNA or enjoy whichever other device you decide to use after reading this Article.
