Remember the Kinerase BOOM? Celebrities like Courtney Cox and Jennifer Aniston were swearing by it. An incredibly high priced (at the time) product line that had everyone going crazy to try it. Then the hype went away. Though the products remained. Luckily for those of us who don't want to spend $$$ each month on skincare Dr. LeWinn had the fortitude to know that they should conquer the lower end market offering a line that retails at both Walgreens and Walmart, while using their signature antioxidant, kinetin, along with other beneficial ingredients that include ceramides. Naturally, I had to try it.
Though the title is a tongue twister, Dr. LeWinn By Kinerase Hydrabalance Foaming Cleanser is by far one of the better drugstore cleansers.
Dr. LeWinn By Kinerase Hydrabalance Foaming Cleanser is a soap-free, paraben-free, fragrance free (though it does have some scent), hydrating, foaming type cleanser. They claim that it helps to restore the skin's protective barrier to help hold moisture while cleansing, without stripping skin of vital moisture.
The consistency of Dr. LeWinn By Kinerase Hydrabalance Foaming Cleanser is very smooth, a little goes a long way.
- Takes makeup off fairly well.
- Doesn't strip the skin.
- No harsh smells.
- Doesn't leave massive residue after cleanse.
- Ordering online can be a problem when shipping to California.
Right now both Walgreens and Walmart are having a sale on Dr. LeWinn products. In regards to Walgreens, I've noticed the price fluctuates depending on the location of the store. I bought mine in store, for around $5. Right this moment online it is retailing for $7.49, which is still at a discount, as the regular price runs around $10.
At Walmart online, it is going for $8.97, but they wont ship it to California, I have no idea why. However, they will let you put it in your virtual basket, get to check out, and then at the last moment, tell you to remove it from your bag as they can't ship it to California. Walmart will, however, ship the Dr. LeWinn By Kinerase BB cream, which makes absolutely no sense to me, especially since it is legal to sell in store in the state of California.
That being said, you can easily find Dr. LeWinn By Kinerase Hydrabalance Foaming Cleanser at many Walgreens locations across Los Angeles, and the surrounding areas. Their website will tell you where it is in stock. Make sure you do not buy from unauthorized retailers. If you find it at the dollar store the contents are probably not Dr. LeWinn By Kinerase Hydrabalance Foaming Cleanser, and, instead hand soap or something worse. There is such a thing as too good to be true. To my knowledge Walgreens has a 30 day return policy as long as you keep your receipt.
If you are looking for a good cleanser, especially during our strange winter time in Los Angeles, or an alternative to the $30+ Kinerase cleanser, you should absolutely give Dr. LeWinn By Kinerase Hydrabalance Foaming Cleanser a try, it has become my new favorite.
