Long Island lovelies are all too familiar with the dime-a-dozen spa located on every street and corner in the region. However, Donna Nails is a little gem of a spa, tucked neatly away in Nassau County with incredibly low prices and impeccable service.
Located in Lynbrook, Donna Nails is extremely close to the Long Island Spa Treatments Examiner’s residence, but was never frequented. After hitting all of the local nail salons, believe it or not, a satisfactory pedicure was often hard to come by, until a tip led to Donna Nails.
The small spa is almost hidden on a busy street corner of Rockaway Avenue and Peninsula Boulevard, across from the King Kullen Shopping Centre. Upon entering the tiny space, it was clear this is a popular respite for the females of the surrounding towns, as the nail salon was packed from wall to wall.
At first glance, the old and weathered seats and pedicure baths were enough to turn and leave, but something planted my feet to the ground. Not only did I receive one of the best pedicures of my life, but also it only cost $10, which explained why Donna Nails was packed to the gills. The nail technician was overwhelmingly grateful after receiving a very generous gratuity, and I knew this would be my new and permanent pedicure palace.
Upon another visit to Donna Nails, the owner gave a spectacular spa pedicure for only $20, unheard of in the spa world. Spa pedicures range in price at the nail salon in Lynbrook from $15 and up, but the $20 pedi was amazing.
If you live in the surrounding neighborhood, pay Mary a visit for your fall pedicure. Donna Nails may not be aesthetically pleasing, but the nail service and prices are outstanding. And maybe with an overflowing clientele, the spa would be able to afford to renovate.
