Have you ever heard someone describe a doll and it’s wrapping as being delicious, saucy, luscious and sweet? It you haven’t, you are about to. I was looking for dolls that have a look that can tickle our palette for the Valentines season.
Now, I’m not referring to candy, just dolls that represent the Valentines colors, the reds and burst of orange. Yes orange. Now this color may not be associated with Valentines, but it certainly adds to the lusciousness that make you automatically think, ah perfect for Valentines. Are there such dolls? Oh yes. This is what I found.
We like Tonner Doll’s All Drama Sydney, and Madame Alexander’s The Firebird of the American Ballet Theater (ABT) Collection and the sweet and cute Stamped With Love
All Drama Sydney is saucy in this red red red dress. Saucy I mean, pert, smart in those ruffles that you can imagine would shimmy if the doll could walked. Luscious, in that those ruffle wrappings that cascade beautifully around her, create a vision that only Valentines would pour its heart out for.
Madame Alexander’s Firebird from the ABT Collection, is delicious and red hot. When I look at the deep red corset and the burst of orange, accents create powerful thoughts of red fire hots (you know, the candy) Delicious!
Then there is Madame Alexander’s cute Stamped With Love, wearing a little blueberry jacket and a Valentines purse filled with stamped letters. Sweet!
Yes, these dolls do seem to trigger a sweet tooth. But we do expect this with dolls, particularly those of the Valentine season. Dolls; what a confection we can all indulge in.
