The Inn at Keystone is the place to stay if you're visiting Keystone Resort with a dog. First of all, it's the only dog-friendly property at the resort. Fortunately, it really is dog friendly, not just dog tolerant. At check-in, you get a welcome bag with a treat for your dog, a poop bag (and there are plenty more if you need them), and a hang tag for your door to indicate when the dog is in the room. When you would like the housekeeping staff to tidy your room, you simply remove the hang tag and let the front desk know that you and the dog will be out of the room for a while. Many hotels stipulate that you can't leave the dog in the room unattended, but not so here.
Be sure to ask for a dog room when you make your reservation. The hotel has designated rooms for dogs, and you will want to be sure one is available during your stay. There is a two-dog limit per room, but no weight limit.
Once you're settled in, you can enjoy plenty of walking trails throughout the resort with terrific views. It's an easy walk to the Mountain House area for skiing, and shuttles are available to take you to other destinations, so you can usually leave your car parked. After a day on the slopes or hiking with your furry friend, you can relax in one of the rooftop hot tubs and maybe take in a sunset if your timing is good. There's even a Yappy Hour in the hotel lounge each evening where you can relax with a drink and meet some of the other canine guests.
