When Rodan + Fields announced their new Anti-Age Lip Renewing Serum, I was immediately interested. I have already seen good results from from friends using the AMP MD micro-needle roller with the Night Renewing Serum as well as terrific media coverage about the AMP System. Could Rodan + Fields do for lips what they have done for aging skin? I had to find out.
The AMP MD derma-roller creates tiny micro-channels for better absorption of the serum, but since the Night Renewing Serum uses retinol which is toxic if ingested, the Night Renewing Serum could not be used on lips. Rodan + Fields developed a new formula which is safe and effective for lips and even more effective when used with the micro-needle roller.
I conducted my own experiment using the AMP MD roller by itself for a couple of weeks and then addwd the Lip Renewing Serum. I found the skin roller changed the shape and texture of my lips even before I started using the Lip Renewing Serum. However, adding the Lip Renewing Serum to the routine smoothed out wrinkles, plumped my lips, and added color.
I also got an unexpected bonus. Much like my face has always been super sensitive, my lips have always burned, stung and chapped at the slighted irritation. I was constantly applying Vasoline, Chap Stick, olive oil, Vitamin E, and other lip balms every day, but my lips stayed irritated and dry. After using the Lip Renewing Serum, my lips remain smooth, hydrated and healthy even after the serum has worn off.
