Feeling ill and need to talk to a doctor? Well, there is an app for that. Doctor on Demand. Yes, Doctor on Demand is an app that will connect you to a certified doctor via your smartphone to discuss your symptoms. After evaluating your symptoms the doctor will even call in a prescription to your local pharmacy if needed. The consult is a video call and there is camera button which allows the doctor to physically see and evaluate symptoms.
There is virtually not wait time. When you go to a doctor's office you can spend 30 minutes to an hour in the waiting room. Then another 15 to 30 minutes in the room waiting for a doctor. With Doctor on Demand you may spend up to 60 seconds waiting on a doctor to connect and that is it. Just as with a regular doctor you spend under 15 minutes with the doctor.
Insurance is not needed! Regardless if you have insurance or not, you can still use Doctor on Demand. If you have insurance you do not have to worry about using an "out of coverage" provided and being penalized. Doctor on Demand does not submit claims to insurance companies.
Reasonably priced! Doctor on Demand cost $40 for 15 minutes (which in most cases is amble of time to diagnose a condition). Most co-pays range from $25 to $50 per doctor's visit.
