In the loading dock at the Cedar Lake, against a backdrop that is at the very core of the DKNY brand - the NYC street and the DKNY block logo (in graffiti print by the Smart Crew)- the DKNY spring 2014 show was staged Sunday afternoon as has been the custom. But this season, and the house's 25th year anniversary, the city gal muse took quite a literal reference.
After the sporty chic portion of the show, DKNY turned to pastel colors on sheer draping maxi dresses and slouchy trousers and culottes for a clever look. Slinky dresses with spaghetti straps were paired with throwback sneakers which are being revived for the season. The designer logo craze also returns with a light-hearted update like the transparent short dress with the logo in white making up the dress.
