Wreck It Ralph is Disney Animation's 52nd full length movie release. The story begins with Ralph, the bad guy of the Fix-It Felix Jr arcade game, as he joins a bad guy group to share about his mid-life crisis.
Ralph leaves his game to attend a meeting of the bad guys where he's encouraged by other villains to be a good bad guy. Ralph returns to his game only to find that he wasn't invited to the 30 year anniversary party. Dejected he leaves his game to win a metal to show the other characters in his game that he isn't all bad. In fact, he wants to be the hero.
Ralph wins his metal but through a series of events ends up in a game called Sugar Rush. Winning this game isn't just a game anymore. Now, he really needs to be a hero or his friends may be deleted forever.
In the end, the real villain is defeated and the characters we have come to care about return to their games to live happily within their own game stories.
Parents who played many of the featured games in arcades will remember old times. Their children will enjoy the story and likely ask for the new home entertainment version of classic games such as Pac-Man, Q-bert and Wreck It Ralph.
