One of the little known treats for visitors to Downtown Disney at the Disney Resort in California is Marceline's Confectionery. The candy and sweet shop offers an array of confections for every sweet tooth.
This trip, we stopped by for a drumstick. The crispy drumstick formed in the familiar shape is made from crispy puffed rice dripped in white chocolate on the handle or bone end and covered in milk chocolate on the larger or meat end. The puffed rice is held together by a thin coating of marshmallow.
The quality of the drumstick was excellent. It was obviously created just before we purchased it. All the ingredients were fresh and it was still slightly warm. Each bite was one to be savored with the marshmallow melting with each chew.
Children, teens and adults all agree that the Marceline's drumstick is far superior to a turkey or chicken drumstick. Marceline's Confectionery is found along the south side of Downtown Disney between the Disneyland Monorail station and the front gates.
On a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being best: the guests who were asked about the drumstick all voted 5.
