'Dirty Filthy Love Story' is very dirty, very filthy and very, very good

'Dirty Filthy Love' is a love story...but it's definitely not your everyday kind of love story. This is a love story between two characters, whom are unquestionably...nuts.

To be more precise, our love birds, Ashley (Jennifer Pollono) and her lover Hal (Joshua Bitton) are psychopaths, but hey, no one's perfect, right?

When we first meet Ashleym we know one thing for sure...She has trouble letting go...of anything and everything. The lady is a hoarder.

Not only is her house filled to the brim with garbage, but her junk extends out into her front lawn.

Can't really blame Ashley's neighbor, Benny (Burl Moseley) from being upset. Afterall, he's trying to sell his house and is worried that Ashley's garbage will be a deterent, to say the least.

Lucky for Benny, he's come up with a solution. He hires a garbage removal man, Halbert, (Joshua Britton) to get rid of Ashley's unsightly mess.

What Benny doesn't count on however, is Halbert's attraction to Ashley and her garbage. Seems these two crazy misfits have a great deal in common, which leads to a very unexpected surprise for Benny.

'Dirty Filthy Love' directed by Elina de Santos and written by Rob Mersola is a wonderful dark comedy about love, loneliness and American pop culture.

The play is funny, outrageous and touching with great performances by all three actors, which makes it...a definitely must see.

Also I must mention that, David Mauer and Hazel Kuang, the scenic designers, along with artistic director/producer, John Perrin Flynn, have created one of the best sets I've ever seen in a small theatre production.
