If you step into a pub or a planned University of Milwaukee event, and see the three piece band , suspiciously called Dinny Bulca, you won't be going anywhere. The only place you might be going is to the merchandise booth to buy the newly released demo.
The only complaint you're going to have is why is this only a two song demo? If the Milwaukee Rock Music Examiner wants more, I am sure you, as the listener, are going to want to hear some more of Scott Cary's dreamy vocals and romantic guitar. Scott Cary's vocals are as refreshing as Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens. You add that tremendous tone and range with Corbin Coonan's exciting and tantalizing bass, with the sex-tone beats of Kelly Danen, this three piece bands belongs on stages world wide.
I was approached out of 4,000 submissions by a silly email from one of the band members of Dinny Bulca. He stated his band was named after their grade school teacher. Reminiscent to the Lynyrd Skynyrd band name choice, this band intrigued me. The email and the band name stood out, one above the rest.
I was happily taken in when I went to Dinny Bulca's press kit and pressed play. The track, "Where Did You go?" A sure campus hit. This garage band, Dinny Bulca is unique, talented, and a sure hit making three piece. The song "Pilgrim," is a beautiful arrangement, which makes you want to be back at the prom in the arms of your high-school sweetheart.
The contradiction of innocents and sexual innuendos in Dinny Bulca's 50-ish style, with the wildness of today's youth gone wild, makes for great listening among any age group.
