Denver’s Salam Grill provides superb, quality food for the family (Photos)

A new Middle-Eastern restaurant, Salam Grill, has arrived in Denver, Colorado and by far is "the finest Middle-Eastern food" our family has eaten.

We had driven by numerous times and decided to try it on Christmas Day. Adorned in Middle-Eastern décor, this charming little restaurant was the best decision and the best Christmas meal we could ask for. We ordered the King Combo which included some tasty starters. First, they brought out a plate of Tabouleh and a plate of salad followed by a homos and baba ghanouj side served fresh with hot pita bread. Just when we started to feel full, the main course was brought to our table, which consisted of a chicken kabob, falafel, lamb, gyros, chicken and beef shawarma, and grape leaf, all served on a generous bed of rice. The food tasted very fresh. For the first time in my history of eating out, other patrons at a nearby table commented to us on how delicious the food was.

The menu includes over fifteen appetizers, several different salad choices, about twenty different entrees, ten different sandwiches, and a vast array of beverages, all prepared fresh by the cordial owner and executive chef manager Mostafa Saif. The decadent desserts are perfect for topping the meal off—if you still have room after the meal. The baklava is crisp and fresh with just the right amount of sweetness.

Salam Grill’s prices are comparable to other similar restaurants, but their prices are justified by great quality and taste.

When asked how the food can taste better than the competition, one of the waitresses replied, “Because the owner puts his heart into his cooking. He cares about the quality of his food and prepares the homos [food] fresh every day.”

Mr. Saif uses Moroccan spices to add zest and flavor to traditional Middle-Eastern dishes which give the food more of the flavor that is associated with Morocco.

Salam Grill also has “Specials of the Day,” which include unique Moroccan dishes. Salam Grill caters and is open from 11a.m. to 11 p.m., 7 days a week including holidays. They are located at 2410 S. Colorado Blvd. in Denver, Colorado. The phone number is 303-75SALAM.

If you want to take your family (or a date) out for healthy, fresh food all while taking in the Middle-Eastern atmosphere and hospitality, try Salam Grill.
