Woodward Table is one of those great restaurants that does brunch right. The food is hearty and has all the essential breakfast items, and the bottomless mimosas are delicious, plentiful, and never watered down.
The brunch menu is pretty big, so it’s hard to know what to order, but really, you won’t go wrong no matter what you order. One of the sections on the menu is “For The Table,” and this is the only section that has an item that you absolutely must order: The Pastry Basket. Melt-in-your-mouth biscuits, sinfully sweet chocolate muffins, fruity scones, light-as-air whipped butter, and rich jam are all members of this heavenly basket that will take your brunch from good to damn good.
After that, feel free to choose from a variety of flatbreads, salads, egg dishes, and sandwiches. The Wild Mushroom Flatbread is fantastic, with creamed kale, loads of garlic, and earthy Fontina cheese. The Butternut Squash Flatbread, topped with velvety goat cheese, is also great. The flatbreads are idea for sharing, so order one as an appetizer if you don’t want a salad or greek yogurt as an appetizer.
Other tasty items include French Toast, Eggs Benedict, Mac n Cheese, and grits. Be sure to order some of the fries, which come with a creole remoulade, and also one of their sweet cinnamon buns.
This place is a great option for a fun, satisfying brunch for friends or family. Service is quite good; in other words your mimosa glass will not stay empty for very long. Prices are also reasonable, with all items under $20 and bottomless mimosas or bloody marys available for $15. Be sure to take advantage of their patio in warm weather!
