After the shake-up in the DC Universe with the Forever Evil story arc everything has changed. Now they are re-launching the everyone’s favorite villain filled team with New Suicide Squad from creators Sean Ryan and Jeremy Roberts.

In the new series the team will feature three new members including Joker’s Daughter, Deathstroke, and Black Manta with Amanda Waller no longer having the autonomy she used to and new members causing all sorts of problems, the team will have an awfully hard time on their first mission: a trip to Vladimir Putin's Russia. The Suicide Squad has always been a group that has potential for insanity, but with every incarnation they seem to bring even more crazed people together. This latest group could be the most interesting collective yet and the clear issues that will be in the mix between Harley and Joker’s Daughter is enough potential drama to make this a series that could knock it out of the park. This issue sets the new tone bringing the characters together and already displaying some of their disdain for each other and then thrusts them right into the action. Jeremy Roberts artwork is great and brings a fun dynamic to this action packed issue.

Hopefully they will let these characters cut loose and bring action a plenty for this series and not over crowd it with too much of the behind the scenes red tape of the government stuff. These are such fun characters to watch in action and interacting with each other and this series could be awesome if they are allowed to do their thing.
