Harley Quinn # 3

DC Comics Clown Queen of crime continues her wacked out adventures to start a normal life in the latest issue of her ongoing series with Harley Quinn # 3. In this issue it’s Valentine’s Day, and Harley is getting depressed watching happy couples walk by, but will a special gift from Poison Ivy turn things around for Harley?

With this series Harley has finally gotten the props she deserves taking her out of the second tier level and stepping her up to take charge. What’s great about this series is that they aren’t trying to force her into the normal crime world, but instead letting the reader join in on her normal life, or at least what’s normal for her. At the same time they are taking an inside look at her emotional struggle with losing her ‘Puddin’ especially with this issue dealing with Valentine’s Day. At the same time they keep the violent fun of the character intact with over the top insanity around every corner that deals with an ongoing issue of a bounty on her head that adds a fun mystery, but never detracts from the main story.

If you are a fan of Harley Quinn and you are not already checking out this series you are really missing out. The direction of this series stands out as something different that your usual comic fare. Lucky for you the series is only on issue 3, so get out there and grab issues 0-2 as well and get in on the fun.
