The Zero Year story arc through the Batman titles has been shaking things up a bit, most notably in the core title Batman. In this latest issue Batman gets one step closer to the endgame with The Riddler as the final chapter of ZERO YEAR: SAVAGE CITY draws closer to its stunning finale, but does it continue bringing the brilliance to the title or is this riddle too complicated to solve?

The creative team of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo continue to be magic for the Dark Knight. The stories continue to bring the creative ways to touch on the past while bringing new elements to the legend all while never stepping on the iconic status of the character. Greg Capullo brings another issue to life like only he can with his unique style bringing not only the needed darkness to the series, but also a simplistic brilliance to the character design. He has a unique ability of being able to take a simple moment and take it to a huge scale thus bringing the rest of the book along with it. As this issue takes the story to the edge and upping the anti for all those involved to the seemingly end of the story only to throw yet another wrench into the story thus taking it to the next level. This story has taken the Bat-verse world and turned it upside down taking all those involved in new exciting directions and one of the better stories in some time.

Snyder and Capullo are the dream team with this series and fans will no doubt go into morning when they finally decide to move on. Thankfully they are still here for now and until that time enjoy the brilliance they have brought to this character and grab your copy of this issue available now.
