Dark Heavens contains some serious stuff.  With just the basic deck, players get access to an Angel of Despair, Ob Nixilis, Sunblast Angel, Basilisk Collar, and Black Sun’s Zenith.  Combine these options with a wealth of defenses that turn into fuel for your sacrificial outlets via Field of Souls, and you’ve got a flying fortress of flavorful good and evil.  Some Doom Blades and punishing Pillories of the Sleepless add a highly functional removal suite to flesh out the deck’s potential.

Dark Heavens isn’t perfect “out of the box”, though.  You’ve got plenty of questionable cards like Imps, Demonic Appetite, and Walls that can be easily removed for the insane options that players can pick up from unlocks.

A Baneslayer Angel, bonus removal with Faith’s Fetters, Damnation, and Vindicate are all almost mandatory includes and amp the power level of Dark Heavens high into the blackened sky.  Packing a bastion of bombs in the context of Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012, this edited deck package is sleek, brutal, and angelic – and one of the top decks to beat in DOTP 2012.

Dark Heavens is a five-star offering, a heavenly selection of Angels and removal that will tear through most Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 decks in style.
