Danity Kane fans rejoice! Since the group's departure from the music scene in 2009, Danity Kane released a first listen on a new song, "Bye Baby".
Danity Kane reached stardom back in 2004 with MTV's, "Making the Band 3". After the show, the band charted two consecutive #1 albums on the Billboard's Top 200 Chart, becoming the first female group to do so. The members Shannon Bex, Aundrea Fimbres, Aubrey O'Day and Dawn Richard return without previous band member D.Woods on a new single, giving fans a preview today online. The girls from Danity Kane annonuced a reunion back at the 2013 MTV Music Video Awards. Without Diddy in tow, the ladies made their first performance in five years in Las Vegas at iHeartRadio Music Festival's Village in 2013. Danity Kane announced they will release new singles, teaming up again with The Stereotypes, the producers who created Danity Kane's hottest single, "Damaged".
If "Bye Baby" is any preview of what's to come from this chart topping group, these ladies will be debuting a more mature, elegant side to R&B. "Bye Baby" is a departure from their previous upbeat hits. Their harmonies are always on point, and I can't help but feel slightly disappointed D.Woods will not be joining the group, but I'm sure the rest of the group will be able to get along just fine. The song is enjoyable, but I'm honestly waiting to hear a catchy track similar to "Damaged" and their other previous tracks from their last album, "Welcome to the Dollhouse". I'm not complaining, I'm just eager to see what else Danity Kane has up their sleeves and "Bye Baby" is a good start.
As of now, no future performances are scheduled on their website, so stay tuned...
