Division 3 Wrestling (D3W) debuted Saturday, September 28th with explosive and vintage results. Set at Carl Schurz High School, we saw something that resembled a mix between the Attitude Era, the ECW Era, and what the WWE seems to be struggling with in their declining ratings era now.
Simply, D3W proved modern pop culture can mix with PG ratings and controversy/chaos.
The highlight of the show featured Dante DVS vs Just-A-Mazing (the number 1 contender for the D3W World Title).
Their feud began a week before at the D3W press conference during a Britney Spears dance off for the students of Schurz High School. After Dante DVS attempted to out-dance the students, Just-A-Mazing made it clear that Dante should focus less on dancing and more on their match later that week. Dante DVS of course hit Just-A-Mazing from behind causing the Principal of Schurz High School to get in between the two competitors to keep peace. Dante DVS took advantage of the situation hitting the Principal of Schurz High School, causing a melee on the stage.
During their match, Just-A-Mazing kept in control with Dante DVS having to pull desperation moves out of his hat of tricks. Eventually, the referee was knocked unconscious along with Just-A-Mazing. Dante DVS climbed outside the ring grabbing a metal chair and sneaking back in to finish Just-A-Mazing off. At this point, the Principal of Schurz High School stood up along with the hundreds of people in attendance. He approached the ring and grabbed a hold of the metal chair as Dante DVS swung back to hit Just-A-Mazing. The Principal then got his retribution, hitting Dante DVS in the head with the chair. As Dante DVS started to fall from the chair shot to the head, Just-A-Mazing hit Dante with a loud and powerful super kick and pinned him for the 3 count.
The match contained more excitement than I've seen in quite sometime. In my opinion, every wrestler on the D3W roster has every chance of becoming superstars of their own caliber, and D3W has the free and clear road to rekindle the fire of "excitement" that has been missing from "Pro Wrastlin" for quite sometime.
And, they have a wrestler called "The Janitor." 'Nuff said!
