Cyclops #1

Cyclops #1 was published May 7, 2014. The story is written by Greg Rucka. The comic features art by Russell Dauterman. The art is amazing and super pretty. Russell makes space look like a place every should want to live. The dialog is easy to follow, other than Sikorsky which is a fly looking alien that talks like Yoda. In my opinion we only need one Yoda and I hope we don't have to read much more of his dialog because it hurts my head. That would be the only complaint I have about this comic. Everything else I enjoyed.

Sixteen year old Scott Summers meets his dad who is a space pirate. We get to see him in action when they take down a Badoon ship and do what pirates do and took the ship for himself. Scott tells us he wanted be a lot of things growing up including a astronaut, a pirate, and a hero. Well he gets to both a astronaut and a pirate when his dad decides that they are going to take the Badoon ship off on their own for a while. Corsair, Scott's pirate father, is having a hard time learning to be a dad and this is his way to trying to show Scott that he cares. And I have to mention Scott's dad has a smoking hot cat, alien, girlfriend lady. Hepzibah is super pretty.

I'm looking forward to reading more of the pirate adventures between Scott and Corsair. I'm not sure if they are going to make this comic super serious or not. I would enjoy just seeing some fun, happy, and adventurous pirate stuff. Who wouldn't like reading about space pirates?

Have you read this 1st issue of Cyclops yet? If so, what did you think of it?
