(NEW ORLEANS) On Friday, October 21st, Nina Bellard, Letitia Clark George, and Mynnye Shaw, three local women business owners hosted a sleek, sexy and fabulous night of fashion and fun, all to raise money for breast cancer awareness.
Guests, who were encouraged to wear something "pink" graced the venue with perfect style and pizzazz. With plenty of photo ops in front of the sponsor studded step and repeat, pink limo rides, complimentary cosmos and chocolate covered strawberries; guests had their fill of celebrity like treatment.
The event was led with mixing and mingling with decadent sweets from Mynnyes Chocolates and hand massages from Senica Naturals. Cosmos were abundant thanks to the event's two premiere sponsors, TWIST Cocktails and CIROC.
An epic Fashion Show dominated the red carpet for the majority of the event with looks to die for, courtesy of Hemline and JBW Styling. All while a competitive silent auction took place simultaneously with awesome prizes like shopping sprees, spa gift packages, and designer clothing. The auction hot ticket item featured a raffle of a $600 pair of shoes from the exlcusive shoe boutique Johnny Wah.
The crowd got up and moving with some Zumba steps led by Jenn Rupp of NOLA Danze Fuzion and with some sexy salsa moves from the lovely ladies of Liquid Rhythm.
The event was culminated by moving testimonies from breast cancer survivors, who also walked in the fashion show, showing the guests that breast cancer impacts even the young and beautiful.
Plenty of event goers signed up for the "Cosmos for a Cure" race team that night to run in the 5k Susan G. Komen race for the cure, bright and early at 8am the next morning.
Nina, Letitia and Mynnye were proud to achieve their fundraising goal and donated 100% of the proceeds to the New Orleans Affiliate of Susan G. Komen.
The ladies exclaimed that this was the biggest year yet and they look forward partnering with more local companies, educating more people and raising even more funds next year!
