There is no more loving of a marriage than that of style and comfort. Crocs, a leading authority on comfort and innovation, has introduced fashion-forward styles for spring proving that they’ve certainly come a long way since the foam clogs introduced in 2002. I tried two adorable little gems from the new line: the Adrina Flat and the Leigh Wedge.

Adrina Flat

Reminiscent of the popular jelly shoes from younger years, yet with modern touches, the Adrina Flat is a fun slip-on that is perfect for summer. Not as sassy at the original jellies, but much more supportive with a Croslite footbed, the Adrina flat is lightweight, breezy and pliable. Interlocking transparent circles and an open toe give it a unique look. I might prefer them with a closed toe, but then again, showing off a fresh pedi is one of the best perks of summer. These are definitely a more casual slip on, but you could easily get away with pairing them with a sundress or skirt/tank combo. They are perfect for a stroll in the park or to sport at the pool.

Available in juniors’ and women’s sizes in a variety of bright and neutral colors for $34.99.

The Leigh Wedge

Call me partial because Leigh is my middle name, but I love these shoes. Not only do wedges do wonders for any woman’s legs, these can take you through the day. Linen and leather straps provide a simple and clean look, while holding the foot securely in place. The coolest feature is the slip and lock buckle that allows you to get in and out of these shoes without having to undo the buckle every time.

The Croslite soul feels like you are walking on air, but that little bit of height and the straps make you look so put together. They are much more comfortable and supportive than a flip-flop, but with the same casual ease. So next time you feel like throwing on a pair of ratty flip-flops – consider the frumpiness factor, and the fact that they force you to have a not-so-ladylike stride.

Throw these shoes on with a maxi dress or shorts and no need to change if you take a stroll through the park or if you want to hop on your bike. I love wedges with rolled jeans or a bright tunic and jeggins.

The Leigh wedge is available in women’s sizes 4-11 in a variety of bright and neutral colors for $54.99.

Other styles from the spring 2011 line include the Adrina Strappy Sandal (a cushioned flip flop with an ankle strap), the Carlie Flat, the Crocband Jaunt rain boot and the Kadee Flat. See more or purchase any of these styles here.

So this summer, give your feet a break without having to sacrifice style - a notion that’s sure to last.
