Being that I spend most of my time in athletic apparel it is important that each piece is comfortable and can easily transition from the gym to running errands. After being introduced to the activewear brand Cory Vines I found that it offered what I tend to look for. The looks are simple, timeless and affordable. I had the opportunity to interview the Founder and CEO Daniel Lieberman, he shared a lot about the brand especially why it stands out against the rest!
When was Cory Vines founded?
I had been trying to find simple, beautiful, high-quality workout clothes that didn't put a dent in my wallet. When the frustration became insurmountable, I left my desk job to focus 100% of my attention to creating activewear that aligned with the ideals of today's tech-centric, digitally-connected Gen-Y consumer. By 2012, Cory Vines was underway.
What is the most unique selling point about your brand?
We've built Cory Vines on a model of accessibility and quality. We keep the clothing affordable by selling directly to our consumer.
With consumers becoming more aware of the functionality of athletic apparel, which item would you suggest and why?
We try to create pieces that can fit into someone's wardrobe in a variety of different ways; our philosophy is to make clothing that brings you from the gym and beyond. That being said, our Essential Long Sleeve ($35) contains breathability, moisture-wicking and anti-odor technologies that make it perfect for high-fidelity workouts as the temperatures drop.
How has the public responded to your line?
Very positively. The response has been phenomenal, and it's clear to me that consumers were growing tired of paying top-dollar for workout apparel that didn't necessarily translate into their wardrobe.
What's next for Cory Vines?
We're looking to create new collections, build our community, and attack bricks and mortar in a non-traditional way.
