'X-M@$' will be available digitally from December 12th from all the usual places (iTunes, play.com etc...) with proceeds going to Teenage Cancer Trust. (http://www.teenagecancertrust.org/)
This video is a delightful romp through a digitized winter wonderland, complete with Corey's face imposed on several images, from a Santa to Howdy Doody. The song itself is a great send-up of the Christmas season from the view of the grinch who can't stand Christmas and just gets drunk instead to stand it, which doesn't get done a lot in this day and age. The visual imagery is great, the refrain is too much hilarity for one rock song.
"If I ain't drunk then it ain't Christmas, You know where to stick those Jingle Bells, If I ain't hammered it ain't [C]haunukah, all you motherf**kers go to hell, If I ain't cock-eyed it ain't Kwanzaa, Joy to the World and Jack and Cokes, If I ain't drunk then it ain't Christmas, Cause I ain't never anything but buzzed."
Yeah, if this doesn't get you banned from your family Christmas, you're not doing it right.
I feel this song, I do, because it's how I feel about the over-hype, over-commercialization of the holiday. Now while I don't celebrate Christmas, at least as a belief, I do agree with the whole concept of why people get depressed this holiday. It's a rough time of year, statistically speaking, for those who've lost a loved one this year. So hey, if you feel depressed, just realize this, it's only two more days until Christmas! But if you really need help, don't be afraid to ask for it, wherever you have to. (Just don't hit the bottle to solve it...been there, done that, got the T-shirt)
