‘Continuum’ on Syfy recap/review episode 1.7: “The Politics Of Time” (Photos)

Continuum, which aired Feb. 25, 2013 on Syfy, has Carlos in the hot seat of a murder investigation.

In this episode, we see more of Keira’s tech from the future, and it is amazing. Alec has her suit connected to his system, and we can see that it is some very powerful tech, even more so than we thought.

Carlos picks up a reporter, and old friend named Alicia, and they end up in bed together. Unfortunately Alicia ends up dead and Carlos walks around putting his fingerprints on everything since he was just in the house. He takes lead on the murder investigation; however, Keira can see that something is not quite right.

When a photo is found that shows Carlos at the scene of the crime, he is taken off the case and suspended which is what he was trying to avoid, since he wanted the investigation focused on him.

Keira is on the case and she talks to Jim Martin, another mutual friend. Keira is suspicious of him and his wife, and after further investigation, Jim’s assistant Sara is the one behind the murder. After taking her in to custody, Carlos wants Jim and his wife to come to the precinct; however, Jim won his election and does not feel going to the precinct will help.

Towards the end of the episode, we see that Kagame has helped with the election, and now Jim is in Liber8’s pocket.

This episode, like all episodes, always shows scenes from the future, which helps move the story along, as well as parallel what is happening, such as learning that Keira’s husband cheated on her, and how it helped her in the past with understanding what motivated the people she was investigating.

But what is amazing is the future tech. It really is amazing and it makes one wonder again if Keira and company were meant to go back to the past, because Alec is the one who had this tech in the future, but what if it was because of Keira? And what if what Liber8 was the reason why their future is the way it is? It really does boggle the mind.

Overall another solid episode and this one gets a 4.5.
