Continuum on Syfy recap/review episode 1.6: “Time’s Up” (Photos)

Continuum, which aired Feb. 18, 2013 on Syfy, has Liber8 going a different route in the past to get the word out.

Alec’s stepbrother Julian ends up at a riot that Liber8 set up to kidnap a CEO, Henrietta Shaw to get 20 million dollars. However it was a ruse to get more people on their side as they task Exotrol to give the money to the people.

Keira and Carlos are on the case but it is not easy as they come up against a very smart terrorist group who will stop at nothing to get their brand of justice out.

Julian and his father fight. They both want the same thing; however, Julian is young and thinks that his brand of fighting the man will actually make a difference.

After Keira and Carlos find Henrietta, after Alec finds them, she has a bomb strapped to her, only it won’t go off until Henrietta tells the truth, which we find out that she and the rest of the board have stolen money from the pension fund and with her confession the bomb is diffused.

With tonight’s episode we get more insight as to what Liber8 stands for. In fact though this is a fictional story, there is a bit of realism what with big companies getting bailed out by the governments. In this show this creates a terrorist group that will stop at nothing to get big companies out of the way.

In fact with Alec’s family, could they be the very beginnings of the liber8 group? They too want to fight big companies however they don’t condone violence, so far.

Overall another good episode. Even though there was flashback to the future, and while helpful, the way Liber8 is reacting to being in the past is actually a bit more interesting. It would also be interesting to know if the future really is being affected by the change, but also was Keira and the terrorist really supposed to be in the past. It is all very, very interesting.

Then there is Kellog who seems to have his own agenda especially as he breaks into Keira’s room and steals the piece that brought them to the past. What will Keira do when she realizes it is missing and what will Kellog do with it?

This episode gets a 4.5
