Nestled back in the quiet shadow of Pinnacle peak, sits a cluster of buildings that house a variety of businesses. A gym, an Italian Restauraunt, a smoke shop, a real estate office and Pinnacle Grille.
When I first found this spot, it was Blue a Burger, but they've since moved to other locations. And while I can understand this from a business standpoint (it gets pretty quiet up here in summer), as a full timer resident, it was disappointing to see them leave.
But I believe we have an even better replacement with the Pinnacle Grille. The menu offers burgers, all that I've tried are outstanding, and so much more. A variety of pastas, salads and chicken all come in large portions, enough to share, something my dining companions and I do often.
The burgers range from Angus to Kobe, salmon patties or chicken and they offer a vegetarian option of a portabellow mushroom cap. You then get to choose everything from the type of bread you'd like, or not, to the type of lettuce, cheese, sauce or other toppings. And the other toppings list is extensive. Fresh or pickled jalapeños, grilled chilies, fresh or sun dried tomatoes, pickles, onions and so on. Some of the options are included in the price of your burger, others are extra.
Same with the salads, you can create it any way you like. And they don't skimp here; be sure you're really hungry if you order a salad and expect to eat it by yourself.
The bar is ready too with wine, beer, cocktails, soda or tea, so Pinnacle Grille makes for a nice place to meet up with friends or a date night. Or just a place to stop in and have a beer while watching "the game" on any one of the strategically placed flat screens located around the place.
They've also expanded the patio, perfect for dining outside in the wonderful weather the "season" brings us. I'm sure this area will be packed while the temps remain pleasant, day and night.
For my party of two, we had one Angus burger that came with steak fries and a salad that resembled Granite Mountain in size. With one beer and a glass of wine, our bill including tip was under $60. A little on the pricey side, but when the food and service is this good, well worth it.
