On my first day as a resident of Delray beach I strolled the Avenue that I have been down so many times before. As a freelancer, coffee and atmosphere are staples of my daily regime. In general I would find myself at the Starbucks that is right next to "The Office". But today, I found another great space with an incredibly friendly energy and that was "Spot Coffee"located at 44 East Atlantic Avenue (561) 455-4041. Hours: 7 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday-Thursday and Sunday and 7 a.m.-midnight Friday-Saturday.

The Atmosphere:

I was impressed by the atmosphere which was open and airy. I was acknowledged as soon as I walked in and felt welcome to just look around before I actually ordered anything. I saw a great little area in the back with couches and people using the free WiFi. Everyone looked comfortable. The staff are affectionately called "Spotters" and are highly knowledgeable about their coffee!

Apparently the beans are 100% Arabica and roasted in Buffalo New York at their own facility. They are then shipped right to their Delray location and brewed within one week. You can see the roasting dates on display.

The Pricing:

I'll give this a $$ because it is a very reasonably priced menu from coffee to gourmet wraps, pastries and sandwiches. One could certainly afford to sit and have a working breakfast or lunch there without breaking the bank. I had a regular coffee priced at $1.85 because I just had breakfast at Dunkin Donuts prior to stumbling upon "Spot Coffee".

So, for service, atmosphere and price. My first impression review is a five star.
