Most adult clothing is $4 or less and children’s clothing is $1 or less at Palmetto Thrift Store. As well as lower prices, the store has a brighter new look with extremely well organized racks, attractively placed occasional chairs, and accents of greenery. If you haven’t stopped by in a while, it’s surely well worth a visit.
Palmetto Thrift Store was founded in November of 2007. Ever since then, the store has had a very special mission that will make all of us feel good about shopping and donating there. They give 50% of their profits to Children’s Chance, a program that helps children who are fighting cancer and their families throughout South Carolina. They help to fund a variety of programs for children battling cancer, such as cancer diagnosis and treatment, and support during recovery or end of life.
Children’s Chance was formed on September 25, 1996 by two mothers who had daughters battling cancer. The organization was started to fill in gaps among the current services provided for pediatric cancer patients and their families
Anyone visiting Palmetto Thrift Store will be very pleased with the overall appeal. Their entire team works very hard to be sure that the store is very neat, clean, and organized at all times. New items are put on the sales floor daily, assuring you something new every time you visit. The glass is gleaming, the racks are well-organized, and the building is well lighted. There is plenty of off-street parking at no cost.
Palmetto Thrift Store is open from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1:30 to 6 p.m. in Sunday. During these hours, frugal fashionistas are free to shop and choose bright spring outfits, complete with handbags, scarves and jewelry. The racks are countless (and long!), so plan plenty of time to look.
Donations are needed, especially clothing, furniture, housewares and shoes. All donations are tax deductible. Pick up service is available. Their number is (803) 750-6858.
