We stayed at our timeshare in Treasure Island for a few days this week, and were told to try the Clock Tower Sports Bar & Grill on Central Avenue.
After the third lot of people told us we decided to go on Tuesday. We used the 'free taxi' service they have to get there, as Len is still recuperating from the cerebral hemorrhage, back on the 1st of December.
We entered and it was a bar, which Len and I aren't too keen on, but our timing was perfect at 2.00 p.m. They only had one table in use, and a few people at the bar.
We sat at a table, and I ordered a glass of wine, and Len had a diet coke. We looked at the menu, which had baskets, soups and salads, sandwiches, entrees, pasta, appetizers, and wings.
We then saw the $3.95 Daily Specials being served from 11.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. A beverage purchase is required when ordering them.
Monday - Open faced turkey with mashed and gravy.
Tuesday - Spaghetti and meatballs.
Wednesday - Meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy.
Thursday - Chicken Parmesan dinner.
Friday - 1/4 lb hot dog with sauerkraut and chips.
Saturday - Open faced roast beef with mashed and gravy.
Sunday - 8 ounce burger served with chips.
When our server, Anna, came back with our drinks, we ordered the Tuesday special. She asked us if we wanted a house salad for an extra $1.50. As I love my salads I said "Yes".
In no time at all I got my salad, and it was fresh. I ordered it with Ranch dressing in case Len wanted some, but of course he didn't.
The spaghetti and meatballs came out quickly, so I left half of my salad, ate a little of my dinner, and then finished the salad. Len enjoyed the dinner. It had a little kick to the sauce, and was flavorful. There were 2 large meatballs. Len was full when he had finished his. It came with a stick of garlic bread.
Len got a refill on this drink.
We were asked if we wanted anything else, and I had a box for half of my meal. I ate it at supper time. It tasted just as good reheated.
Our bill came to $17, so I left her $20. The wine was $4 a glass, and the soda $2.50. Considering this is close to the beach, we found it to be reasonable. If you do not order the special of the day, you will be paying $7.95 to $14.95 for entrees. Sandwiches ran from $6.75 to $8.95.
They have drink specials, live entertainment, and you can find out about them at their website.
