"Experiments" by Cliffs is a Lo-Fi Psychedelic Indie Pop record.
Production on the record is very simple and sounds to be based around synthetic drum loops and toy keyboard / synth lines. This gives everything kind of silly and fun slant that occasionally works in the bands favor by showing they don't take themselves too painfully seriously. Also from the initial sound of the instruments used- it kind of lowers expections that are then exceeded by Songs like "A Strange Love" that still manage to make your head bob, and are heavily hook driven.
The track "Persephone" breaks free of their sound that's typically led by synths with an acoustic and electric guitar duo that sounds both retro in feel- and unique in their eventual structure. From this track on more guitar can be noticed throughout the songs that follow it.
Altogether through humble means Cliffs manages to craft something undeniably catchy and addictive in it's own quirky way.
