When SNK started making fighting games, they simply had too many ideas for one game. With iconic titles like Fatal Fury, King of Fighters, Art of Fighting, there was one that stood out with its innovation. As one of the first fighting games to use weapons, Samurai Shodown quickly became a classic and one of the most beloved franchises. 20 years later, its characters can still be seen in some of the latest SNK/Playmore games like King of Fighters 13.
One of the first heroines of the franchise was a priestess of nature sworn to protect mother nature from the evils of man. Her name was Nanoruru. I was extremely lucky to find somebody selling this hard to find figure of her off Figure.fm. As you can see in the slideshow, the figure captures her classic form from the 2-D Samurai Shodown games. The size of the figure was also amazing, at 1/6 scale and in her battle pose Nakoruru would easily take up quite a bit of shelf space. As a fan of the series, this figure is a must have for fans. Next week I'll cover another Samurai Shodown figure of popular character Iroha.
