I was prepared to shoot this product down just by reading the ingredients and seeing that mineral oil is high on the list. Mineral oil to a combination-oily skin is like a kryptonite mask to Superman! Okay, I'm exaggerating a bit. It won't really hurt you, but it can clog pores and cause break-outs to appear. This Double Serum, though, is the one time I will make an exception to putting oil on my skin and here's why: It's called "double" because of the [Hydric + Lipidic System]. "Hydric" is water. "Lipid" is oil. A dry skin lacks oil, and an oily skin lacks water. A normal skin contains a good balance of each. The container is designed with a dual chamber so that the two ingredients do not mix until dispensed for application. I've been using the product for 2 weeks with no adverse reaction. In fact, when I apply this after cleansing and exfoliating, I can literally feel things happening, which I'm assuming is due to the boat load of beneficial plant extracts. The organic green banana extract attacks fine lines and wrinkles. The katafray softens and smoothes the skin. The kiwi extracts tones the skin- making it appear firmer, and the maritime pine give a nice radiance to the skin. I'm definitely in the 90% of women who saw younger looking skin after using this product. However, I can't give 5 stars because of the price. $85 is very expensive for a product that is non-medical strength. However, it does seem to work better than any other anti-aging serum I've tried over the counter. Good job, Clarins!
