Valentine's Day is right around the corner, and thanks to The 14th Annual NY Chocolate Show, there are lots of great chocolaty ideas for Valentine's Day! The educational four day event in November at the Metropolitan Pavilion in NYC, showcased over 65 national and international chocolate companies, which featured high quality chocolates, cakes, brownies, candies, macaroons, cookies, gelato, fondue, teas, spices, cookbooks, dessert wines and even chocolate inspired jewelry! It was an unforgettable fantasy land for kids and chocolate lovers.
The chocolate exhibitors offered yummy tasting stations, enabling lucky attendees to exercise their taste buds on a world wide chocolate tour from Paris (Pralus), Lyon (Bernachon), Portugal (Choco Bolo), Sweden (FIKA Choklad) to closer destinations such as D.C. (Co-co Sala), California (Guittard, Jer's Chocolates), and Indiana (Chocolate for the Spirit).
Talented pastry chefs gave culinary demonstrations, that featured wonderful sweet tips and creative techniques on how to make mouth watering souffle, chocolate pappardelle, dessert cocktails and many many other chocolaty, sweet, savory, sinfully delicious and unforgettable creations! There was something for everyone to enjoy, from book signings, tastings, cooking demos and kids zone activities.
All the chocolate participants and exhibitors had quality products, and top favorites are Francois Pralus' Chuao dark chocolate bar and Comptoir du Caco's hazel nut praline feuillette. Valentine's Day is right around the corner, so to impress all the well deserved sweethearts, forget over the counter store bought chocolates and go for high class upgrade chocolates!
