Over the weekend I had the opportunity to visit The Cheesecake Factory while I waited on the Simon Fall Fashion Show to begin. Once I arrived, I was immediately greeted and directed where to find a seating host. Overlooking the galleria area, I sat in the sunlight area facing Westheimer. My waiter met me at the table to take my food/drink order as well as make suggestions about what to try. He was very familiar with the menu, which was impressive to me because I have visited places that I frequent and order entrees that the waitresses/waiters would tell me they don't have or never had. When this happens, you don’t return or you call for a manager who tells you the server is new and just didn’t know. It helps a lot when your server knows the menu. It was also commendable how he handled the load of tables at once, dividing attention and managing to stay engaged with all customers and return timely for update on orders or answer questions about their expansive menu. The menu at the Cheesecake factory can be overwhelming to some-it looks like a mini book and when you can go through it with ease, as my waiter did-you eat more (laugh) I enjoyed this dining experience and I would recommend a visit or two or three….
