"Cheat On You" with Big and Rich

In September I was pleased to review Big and Rich’s new album “Hillbilly Jedi” which included their new single “Cheat On You”, co-written by John Rich, Amanda Watkins and Kasey Buckley.

“Cheat On You” is a melodious tune showcasing the amazing vocals and harmony that is Big Kenny and John Rich, along with instrumentals that are extremely pleasing to hear. The song is a ballad that deals with a woman who really wants to stand by her man as she is not the cheating type at all – but the man they are singing about is one who makes her want to cheat on him. He puts a lot of hurting on her and ignores the best parts of their life together. Listening to the words it is a good reality check for many men and women alike on how they treat their partners. Songs like this one are messages to the listener that bring into play what ignoring your partner can make them feel like.

The intro to the song includes a combination of guitar chords and drums for a few beats just before the duo starts into the first verse of the song. The chorus is easily remembered so it’s a great song to sing along with as you might be driving down the road and the tune is one that just might get “stuck” due to its easy of delivery.

I really enjoyed this song and hope it takes hold on the charts quickly as it plays out a softer delivery of Big and Rich and is quite pleasant.

The song is available for download at Amazon and iTunes as well as the album from whence it came, “Hillbilly Jedi”. Get your copy now!
