What started out as parts of a student film from creator J.G. Quintel turned into an unexpected hit when it debuted in 2010 and has since broadcast four seasons. While not part of the standard Adult Swim block, the show still pushes the boundaries to deliver a more adult themed show than a kids show. Now Cartoon Network is releasing an all-new DVD collection with Regular Show: Fright Pack.
Regular Show follows two best friends and slacker park groundskeepers, Mordecai and Rigby, who also happen to be a blue jay and a raccoon. Their attempts to escape their everyday boredom take them to fantastical extremes, much to the chagrin of their boss Benson (an anthropomorphic gumball machine). Other characters in the show include Pops (a lollipop), Skips (a yeti), Muscle Man (a muscle man) and many others. This is one of those shows that play’s like an old school cartoon with short but fun stories that stand alone with each episode while still pushing the boundaries. This collection focuses on episodes that sport the more creepy nature of their adventures with each episode better than the next. The main characters and supporting players for the series continue to be some of the most unique out there today to create a fun and entertaining series. The art continues to please with a unique art style and character design that stands out as a true original. The stories are funny and ridiculous all at once and always try to push the boundaries as far as they possibly can.
This collection features 14 fright filled episodes from the first four seasons If you have never seen this series you are really missing out and should fix that sad aspect to your life ASAP by grabbing this awesome DVD when Regular Show: Fright Pack hits stores on September 3rd.
