Carmella's pizza bazaar: Quality over quantity

When you think of pizza you probably think about the big franchises such as, Pizza Hut or Domino's. Perhaps you also think about a frozen pizza from your local grocery store. Most of these pizza places, or store bought pizzas do have vast array of toppings.

However, their prices can be high while the quality may not be what you hope for. What can you do? Try Carmella's Pizza Bazaar on 804 E 222nd St. Euclid, Ohio.

The lowdown

Carmella's is a family owned pizza place that focuses on the quality of their product. Their menu consists of, what else, pizza! All their pizzas come standard with cheese and tomato. The prices increase depending on size and number of toppings.

The toppings include the common ones like pepperoni, mushrooms, and double cheese. They also offer less common toppings, such as broccoli and ground beef. Carmella's does well with keeping up with the pizza quality while loading their pizzas with ample amount of toppings.

The shop itself has a casual family feel to it. The staff is very friendly and if you call for an order it will be ready for you in a timely manner. The prices are reasonable. It is a great place to get a bite to eat with the family.

The downsides

Most franchise pizza places offer other items in addition to pizza. Carmella's is strictly pizza. In other words, you won't find chicken wings or sub sandwiches there. Also, they are open 3 p.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday thru Thursday and 3 p.m.-10 p.m. Friday thru Sunday.

If your looking for pizza on a Monday, unfortunately they are closed. A major downside to Carmella's is that they only accept cash, no credit cards. Some may find this to be an inconvenience in today's society.

Despite the downsides, the quality Carmella's offers is more than enough to make up for what it lacks. With a limited menu they are able to provide a great quality pizza every time. Since 1957 Carmella's has been open and is still going strong. Carmella's Pizza Bazaar is certainly a slice of good quality pizza.
