This week Caribou Coffee offers Lemon Earl Grey Tea Latte for only $2 again. The first promotional week took place in the beginning of January. As the company says, now it is "back by popular demand."
Lemon Earl Grey Tea Latte is “a traditional Earl Grey tea balanced with lemon citrus notes and frothed milk.”
Many people are used to drinking Earl Grey tea with lemon or with milk; Caribou decided to upgrade and decidedly mixed both. The result is a rich milky flavor with a sweet infusion of bergamot orange and a sourish lemon note. The company suggests pairing it with mini-scones, but the latte is equally good on its own.
Whereas this tea latte can be a quirky alternative for the favorite morning beverage, it might seem too sweet to some people used to rather bitter coffee taste.
Besides, Lemon Earl Grey Tea Latte is more on the high-calorie side: medium cup with 16 oz of the beverage contains 380 calories, 60 of them from fat.
With all that, Lemon Earl Grey Tea Latte is definitely worth trying. After all, it's back now because customers were asking for it. If it isn't enough for a reason, remember about the $2 price. Enjoy!
