The Capital Grille is now offering new Fall “Plates” menu, featuring combinations using the season’s freshest ingredients that offers guests new customizable combinations of soup or salad, a sandwich and a side for $18. For guests with a limited amount of time, The Capital Grille ensures guests can enjoy a delicious lunch in about 45 minutes.
Guests of The Capital Grille in Baltimore can choose from nine “plates” offerings – three soups/salads, three sandwiches and three sides.
“Our new Knife and Fork BLT adds a signature twist to this classic sandwich favorite. A generous portion of crisp bacon is paired with a Grana Padano Cheese Crisp and Heirloom Tomatoes on a bed of lettuce, topped with a unique black pepper and chive aioli,” notes Executive Chef Daniel Henry.
Chef Henry continues: “We are also pleased to offer dishes made with seasonal vegetables like mushrooms and butternut squash. Our creamy Porcini Bisque captures the rich flavor of the mushrooms in a smooth, velvety soup. We added our special twist to Roasted Butternut Squash by pairing it with Cranberry Chutney for a balance of flavors that is sure to please.”
I was asked to give the new Fall “Plates” menu a try but since I am a teacher by day I got it to go and enjoyed it over my break. I started with the creamy Porcini Bisque with its robust flavors and smooth finish. I then had the Lobster Roll with a side of truffle fries. The Lobster Roll had very large pieces of claw meat and a nice balance of flavors. I could smell the truffle fries before I even open the container. The seasonings on the fries was strong but balanced.
If I worked closer I would be VERY tempted to treat myself to try out the rest of the combinations- YUM!
