The dog days of summer in RVA always bring the heat and humidity that make the city feel in a funk yet this year local death metal rockers Cannabis Corpse make fans forget the hot weather . The band will make the fans forget the hot July temperatures by bringing them a cool dose of red hot metal with their new album “From Wisdom to Baked”. The latest album from the Richmond metal band brings the best death metal sound the fans can get and they will not be disappointed with this album. With guest vocals and guest appearances from Chris Barnes of Six Feet Under and formerly Cannibal Corpse, Trevor Strnad of the Black Dahlia Murder ,and Digestor of Ghoul to name a few the band had gone full force to “break your face with the metal” as one fan said online. The songs which according to a press release are about “stories of marijuana zombies, arcane pot lore and demented hillbilly cannabis farmers” give you a full on MMA style punch to the face with the driving bass, killer guitar riffs and classic vocals that fans of the band have grown to know and love. The album cover itself is a great companion to the songs and sets a stage for the tone of the album.

The band which consists of Municipal Waste bassist/Iron Reagan guitarist Phil "LandPhil" Hall, former GWAR guitarist Brent Legion and drummer Josh "Hallhammer" Hall are currently getting ready to hit the road to tour so please keep check their official Facebook and website for any and all information. These Richmond VA head bangers are well worth a trip to see and listen to live to their set as many have enjoyed in RVA as they have shared the bill with such bands as GHOUL and the legendary GWAR on past tours.
