Can everyday be Valentine's Day?

Everyday is Valentine is a 2001 film written and directed by Wong Jing. The film stars Leon Lai as OK Lai and Cecilia Cheung as Wonderful. OK Lai (Leon Lai) is a professional liar who can spin the truth like a top. He's a successful real estate salesman who's lying skills make him a top earner. One day he crosses paths with Wonderful (Cecilia Cheung) a young woman who abhors liars inside a convenience store. After a learning her best friend admits to having a one night stand with her long time boyfriend just before she married, Wonderful snaps by attacking him with the tossed wedding bouquet. OK and Wonderful meet again at a Buddist Temple both looking for love. Will OK's constant lying ruin any potential relationship with Wonderful?

I found the film to be a a very funny light hearted comedy. Leon Lai and Cecilia Cheung make a cute couple. I don't really care for romantic comedies because they're full of schmaltz and no substance. But foreign films (especially Hong Kong films) add realism and adult humor into the pictures making them entertaining for the fellas as well as the ladies. Wong Jing's screenplays are filled with witty dialog, screwball comedy, lots of spoofs and references to Hollywood blockbuster films (some subtle others not so subtle).

Wong Jing regulars Ng Man Tat and Yuen King Tan portray Wonderful's extremely odd parents Boasty Man and Queen. The film's stars Leon Lai and Cecilia Cheung also contribute a couple of songs for the movie's soundtrack.
