On Saturday, March 16, Hickory Tavern-Mooresville celebrated their St. Patty’s Day weekend festivities with a huge, outdoor tent party. Their party included a Corn-hole tournament, an all-day DJ dance party, and outdoor beer tubs with HT grill items, served, graciously, via the HT’s Tavern Girls.
Burning Bright—such as their name suggests—brightened an already beautiful day with an amazing show. The combination of Marcus Ireland’s like-no-other lyrical geniusness, complimented by Travis Howell’s face-melting guitar licks, Michael Lanigan’s spot-on bass riffs and Mark Clendenin’s percussive artistry, was more than enough to keep HT’s crowd entertained and wanting more. Burning Bright continues to light up venues around Charlotte’s music scene with their amazing talent, via their aggressive tour schedule.
Respectfully, Burning Bright turned the stage over to Dirt—Atlanta’s Rock Cover Band. Dirt made the journey up to HT-Mooresville’s St. Patty’s Day bash, while earning their resepctive place at Saturday’s event, by throwing down some amazing, recognizable hits from various, 90’s bands, including hits from Soundgarden, The Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, and Stone Temple Pilots—just to name a few; and, although Dirt was a refreshing addition to Saturday’s event, Dirt continues to tour and entertain their fan-base in, and around, The Greater Atlanta area, amongst other places.
The musical appearances from both of these hard-working groups proved to make Hickory Tavern’s St. Patty’s Day event all the more special. This, of course, would not be possible without the support from their respective fans. So, be cool, and continue to support your local music!
