Having reviewed the Bull & Bear located downtown in Hanover Square, Syracuse New York it was just a matter of time until I stopped into their latest restaurant located at 6402 Collamer Rd. East Syracuse.
I stopped in for lunch the other day after attending the SAMMY Awards announcements. It was right around noon and the place was filling up fast. The place is bright, well lit, and full of a lot of cool paraphernalia of all kinds. Plenty of seating and one cool bar area that features 20 beers on tap and too many brews for my waitress/bartender to remember. Happy, friendly staff all around made it a pleasant stop.
They have a pretty good menu at first glance, I had the pastrami on a pretzel roll and a cup of awesome chili. The sandwich was sweet and savory and the chili was worth going back for some day soon. Now, having had gastric bypass in December I couldn’t eat much of it so I had a lot to go and the wait staff was more than happy to accommodate me in that end.
No drinks for me, but they are fully stocked and able to make or create any drink you want here. The owner Mark Bullis came out from the kitchen to say hello and chat for a moment, which was a nice touch.
They try to have entertainment every Friday and Saturday night, had pitch leagues sign ups on several boards, and they also have a karaoke night although I forget the night now so stop in or call about that or find them on the web and Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/BullandBearRoadhouse
So from first glance, to the food and beverage options, and just knowing that Mark keeps things on the high end quality wise, I recommend this stop to everyone. They also cater! Plenty of parking is available and there are plenty of motorcycle only spots right at the front entrances.
