I recently visited Canoe for Brunch. I went with a lively bunch of ladies, and we had a nice time. Canoe is nestled along the banks of the Chattahoochee River, and has a very nice ambience. In the spring/summer, you can sit outside, enjoy nature, and the beautiful scenic view. Inside there is exposed brick, white table cloths, and servers who aim to please. To sum it up, it's nice.
Now on to the food and menu. Canoe has a nice variety of selections on the menu, and they also have brunch specials. I enjoyed the Oak Roasted Local Chicken with Cheddar Grits, Spiced Escarole, Oven Dried Tomatoes and Natural Jus. In addition, I had the French Toast with Berries and a Marscapone Cheese Filling. Some of the ladies that I dined with raved about the “Crab & Eggs” which consisted of Jumbo Lump Crabmeat, Soft Scrambled Eggs and Hash Brown Potatoes. Another notable appetizer is the House Smoked Salmon on a Crispy Potato Pancake with Vermont Goat Cheese, Yum!. The Georgia Pecan Sticky Buns are also good!
After brunch, we sat in the bar area and had drinks and more sticky buns and scones. Canoe has a full wine list and a great cocktail menu. In addition, they can make a custom drink if that's your preference. The bartender made me a special 'pear martini'. It was great!! Everyone enjoyed the drinks, atmosphere, and company. We stayed until brunch was literally over. It was nice, and the staff was very accommodating. We will certainly be visiting again for Brunch!!
