The sexy top in the photo may look just like any other bra top, but it isn't. It is a Breeze Comfort bra.
Traditional padded bras are typically made from man made materials that prevent the evaporation of perspiration. If you work out, or you simply sweat (admit it, we all do at least from time to time), you can't help but notice the accumulation of moisture in the breast cup area. It's not comfortable, or particularly good for your skin. Moisture that sits around where it doesn't dry out, can even cause skin issues in places where you certainly don't want them.
Breeze Comfort bras, however, are outfitted with special pads that help eliminate this problem. The VentipadTM is an invention in bra pad technology. It has perforations throughout the padding, which allows the passage of air and moisture in the area around the chest. While moisture-wicking fabric alone in traditional, padded bras can help, the patented, ventilation channels in the Ventipad enables increased air circulation to occur. That, in turn, lets perspiration to evaporate more quickly. The Breeze Comfort bras also have moisture-wicking fabric, so the result is a bra that really helps you stay cooler and drier.
But a bra ought to still look nice so you feel good against your skin, This columnist particularly liked the Yin Yang Patented Sports Bra from Breeze Comfort. It's 92% polyester / 8% spandex, available in small, medium or large, and in color combos of pink and black, silver and black or red and black, each just $35.00. Breeze Comfort has plenty of other more traditional regular, ca,o, and sports-type bras to choose from, but this one has a cool, multi-toned cross over that makes it look more feminine and less like a restrictive wrap around the body. It was also a very comfortable bra to wear. The cross over design and full back is good for low to medium impact activities such as yoga and pilates. However, if your bra size is closer to Pamela Anderson's than a 34B, this particular style of bra might not give you enough support. No worries, because there are plenty of other Breeze Comfort bras with more coverage and support, that would be a good fit (pun not intended).
In several tests, the bra pads wicked away moisture, well, but they also were prominently outlined against the stretchy fabric. While most people generally wear a sports bra with an over-layer, if you wanted to wear it "solo" be aware that there is VPL (visible pad line).
As to wear, the bra is well made. But when it was subjected to the washing machine, the pads got all bunched up inside the bra cups. Luckily, there are open pouches to access the pads. Once they were removed, smoothed out, and replaced, all was well. Hand washing might have eliminated that bunching issue. However, since you are sweating in the bra, you really do have to wash it every time you wear it. How you wash it is up to you.
All in all, based on this one lovely bra, and several tests, this columnist recommends the Breeze Comfort as a good bet not just for sports, but also as a multi-tasking a bra you can wear when you travel, for spa-wear, or under casual clothing in the warmer months.
