If you are looking for a place for a special evening, or just want to make any evening more special, head over to Bratta's Ristorante. A recent visit in celebration of a milestone wedding anniversary did not disappoint and the establishment was not even notified it was a special occasion.
The evening began with a couple nice cocktails and a FREE appetizer of our choice as the perk of the month - be sure to go to their website to set your reservations to take advantage of whatever special they currently have. We had the Sashimi Tuna which was splendid. It was a tough choice as all the appetizers sounded fantastic.
Our dinners included the New Zealand Lamb Chops which were both pleasing to the eye and delicious and an exceptional Seafood Wellington. One might expect to find only a little of the more expensive seafood, but this was not the case. It was loaded with lobster, shrimp and scallops! The puff pastry was cooked to perfection - no sogginess and it was light and flaky.
There are two things that are unique about Bratta's. One is their comfortable and roomy seating. It is a breath of fresh air to go to a restaurant that puts the comfort of their guests over getting the most tables squeezed in. On top of that, you can tell they are more concerned with you than they are flipping tables as we were not rushed in the slightest. The other great concept they have is live music every night. They bring in local entertainers so you never know quite what you'll get, but where else can you enjoy live music during the week? This was a real plus for us, since we prefer to dine during the week for a more relaxing experience.
They also have a nice dessert menu including a very tasty tiramisu and a unique chocolate piano with berries. They have taken chocolate and crafted a small piano, complete with a keyboard. It is really adorable!
Although this restaurant screams romance, it is also a fun place to go with friends as it has a full bar. They also have a kids menu and a gluten-free menu, so everyone can find something perfect. It is great that they are now more centrally located in Fort Myers. There is no doubt that we will be heading there far more often than we used to - and won't wait to our next anniversary!
