Brad Pitt was in the news recently sweetly complimenting and new bride. He seems like a nice guy. As for the newly published unauthorized biography based on Mr. Pitt’s college years and acting career is anything but nice. The Kindle release is 26 pages of common knowledge. The facts are as common as a blue sky. There was not anything fascinating about the biography. Moreover, the writing is terrible. It was clear the book was written by an amateur when the writer felt the need to ask a rhetorical question. The thoughts and feelings about the reader are not important and readers do not enjoy quizzes.
The importance of keeping the reader engaged is lost within the poor construction of the paragraphs and the imbedded links to videos. The links were a nice touch; however, the videos should have had a relation to the information previously mentioned within the last paragraph. For example, one of the videos featured 6 minutes of Brad Pitt’s comments on a television show that was not explained by the author or the actor.
Self-published books often face being quickly discredited when they are written badly. Poor sentence structure and grammatical errors could be the top reasons of why some self-published books are not noticed and unnoticed this book shall remain.
