Bowling is done in a whole new way in Polar Bowler. In this game, you play the game of bowling with a cast of colorful and fun characters, including a polar bear, a walrus, a penguin, a snowman, an Eskimo, and good old Santa Claus. The polar bear is the only playable character at the start of the game; the rest have to be unlocked. You have an assortment of alleys to play in, but they have to be unlocked by either reaching a certain score or by reaching above a certain score. All of the alleys have a nice look to them; the one alley looks like a candy land alley, with various candy around the alley. Another alley looks like a forest area in the winter. The controls are pretty easy; to move your character on the lane, you move the mouse to the left and right. Once you line up your character, you press the left mouse button to release your character onto the lane. The mouse controls your character on the lane; use it to move your character around the lane. You could also find power bonuses and powerups on the lane, but only if you play on power bowl mode. The bonuses and powerups are really fun to use, like the zap and bomb power up. If you play on straight bowl mode, it's just straight up bowling. It's actually better to play on power bowling mode; you could earn a better score to unlock the other allies. You get a different experience playing with every character; for instance, when you play the walrus, you can't really get a good look at the pins once you release him onto the lane. The polar bear sits in a tube, so at least you get a better view of the pins. Polar Bowler is a pretty good bowling game with a nice polar twist.
